1. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
2. Maintain a clean and organized aquatic department, including aquariums, filters, and other equipment.
3. Educate customers on proper husbandry and maintenance for aquatic animals, including tank set-up, water quality, and feeding.
4. Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all aquatic animals in the store by performing regular health checks and addressing any health concerns.
5. Assist customers with the selection of appropriate aquatic animals, based on their needs and level of experience.
6. Handle and care for aquatic animals, including feeding, cleaning, and medicating as necessary.
7. Provide accurate and up-to-date information on aquatic products and supplies, including new products and promotions.
8. Stay informed about current industry trends and advancements in aquatic care and share knowledge with customers and team members.
9. Collaborate with team members to ensure the store is well-stocked and merchandise is properly displayed.
10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and animal care guidelines.
11. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with ordering and receiving new merchandise.
12. Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date on all company and industry-related information.
13. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
14. Continuously strive to exceed sales goals and promote the store's aquatic department.
15. Take responsibility for the overall appearance and functionality of the aquatic department, ensuring it is visually appealing and inviting to customers.
