As an Aquatics Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to share your expertise with customers, provide exceptional care for our aquatic animals, and contribute to our mission of promoting responsible pet ownership.   1. Educate customers on proper care and maintenance of aquatic pets, including fish, turtles, and other underwater companions.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering advice, and resolving any issues related to aquatic pets.
  3. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of aquatic animal habitats to ensure the health and well-being of the animals.
  4. Monitor and maintain appropriate water quality and temperature levels for all aquatic animals.
  5. Assist in the ordering and receiving of new aquatic animal shipments, ensuring their safe and proper acclimation into their new habitats.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in aquatic pet care, and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
  7. Participate in store events and promotions to showcase and promote aquatic pets and products.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the store's aquatic section is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to animal care and safety.
  10. Continuously strive to provide the best possible care for all aquatic pets, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Aquatic Animals: A Qualified Aquatics Specialist Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Care, Behavior, And Specific Needs Of A Variety Of Aquatic Animals, Including Fish, Reptiles, And Amphibians.

  • Experience In Aquarium Maintenance: This Role Requires Regular Maintenance Of The Store's Aquariums, Including Monitoring Water Quality, Cleaning Tanks, And Providing Appropriate Filtration And Lighting. Previous Experience In Aquarium Maintenance Is A Must.

  • Customer Service Skills: As An Aquatics Specialist, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis To Provide Advice, Answer Questions, And Assist With Purchases. Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential In This Role.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Job Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Aquarium Equipment, Stand For Extended Periods Of Time, And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Knowledge Of Aquatic Products And Equipment: A Qualified Aquatics Specialist Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Various Products And Equipment Used In Aquatic Animal Care, Such As Filters, Heaters, And Water Conditioners. This Knowledge Is Crucial In Assisting Customers With Their Purchases And Providing Appropriate Recommendations.
