- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering advice, and resolving any issues related to aquatic pets.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of aquatic animal habitats to ensure the health and well-being of the animals.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate water quality and temperature levels for all aquatic animals.
- Assist in the ordering and receiving of new aquatic animal shipments, ensuring their safe and proper acclimation into their new habitats.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in aquatic pet care, and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
- Participate in store events and promotions to showcase and promote aquatic pets and products.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the store's aquatic section is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to animal care and safety.
- Continuously strive to provide the best possible care for all aquatic pets, and contribute to the overall success of the store.
Extensive Knowledge Of Aquatic Animals: A Qualified Aquatics Specialist Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Care, Behavior, And Specific Needs Of A Variety Of Aquatic Animals, Including Fish, Reptiles, And Amphibians.
Experience In Aquarium Maintenance: This Role Requires Regular Maintenance Of The Store's Aquariums, Including Monitoring Water Quality, Cleaning Tanks, And Providing Appropriate Filtration And Lighting. Previous Experience In Aquarium Maintenance Is A Must.
Customer Service Skills: As An Aquatics Specialist, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis To Provide Advice, Answer Questions, And Assist With Purchases. Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential In This Role.
