- Install, maintain, and repair locks, door hardware, and other security systems on campus buildings and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with locks and other security systems.
- Cut and duplicate keys for students, faculty, and staff.
- Respond to emergency calls for lockouts and other urgent security needs.
- Keep detailed records of all work performed, including key inventory and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with other members of the campus safety team to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest locksmith techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing job duties.
- Assist with training and mentoring new locksmiths on campus.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the university in a positive manner at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent - A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Locksmith I Position At Pepperdine University Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Understand And Follow Instructions.
