International Admission Counselor

1. Develop and maintain relationships with international students, including prospective and admitted students, to provide guidance and support throughout the admission process.
2. Serve as a primary point of contact for international students and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding the admission process, academic programs, campus life, and other relevant topics.
3. Utilize knowledge of international education systems, cultural differences, and language barriers to effectively communicate with and support prospective international students.
4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders within the university, such as academic departments, student services, and international student services, to ensure a seamless and positive experience for international students.
5. Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in international education, including changes in policies and regulations, to provide accurate and relevant information to international students.
6. Plan and coordinate recruitment events, both domestically and internationally, to attract and engage prospective international students and promote Pepperdine University as a desirable destination for international education.
7. Review and evaluate international student applications, including transcripts, test scores, and other required documents, to determine eligibility for admission and make appropriate admission decisions.
8. Maintain accurate and organized records of all international student interactions and communication, as well as admission decisions and outcomes.
9. Provide guidance and support to international students regarding the visa application process, pre-arrival preparations, and other logistical considerations.
10. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to enhance the recruitment and retention of international students at Pepperdine University.
