We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as the Development Coordinator for the School of Public Policy (SPP) and the Center for the Study of Law and Religion (CSOL). As a Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fundraising efforts for these two prestigious programs.   1. Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies for the School of Public Policy and the Center for the Study of Law and Religion.
  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and other key stakeholders to support fundraising efforts.
  3. Coordinate and execute fundraising events, including donor cultivation events, alumni reunions, and fundraising dinners.
  4. Develop and maintain a donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  5. Prepare and send fundraising appeals and acknowledgments to donors.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the university to identify potential donors and fundraising opportunities.
  7. Conduct prospect research to identify new potential donors and create donor profiles.
  8. Assist in creating and managing fundraising budgets for the School of Public Policy and the Center for the Study of Law and Religion.
  9. Provide support to the development team in creating and implementing donor stewardship plans.
  10. Prepare reports on fundraising progress and present updates to key stakeholders.
  11. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in development and fundraising.
  12. Represent the School of Public Policy and the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at university events and external networking opportunities.
  13. Act as a liaison between donors and the School of Public Policy and the Center for the Study of Law and Religion, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  14. Collaborate with faculty and staff within the School of Public Policy and the Center for the Study of Law and Religion to identify funding needs and opportunities.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Business, Marketing, Or Nonprofit Management.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Development, Fundraising, Or Event Planning.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Donors, Volunteers, And Colleagues.

  • Experience Working With Databases And Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Fundraising Software.

  • Knowledge Of Pepperdine University And Its Mission, As Well As Understanding Of The Development Process And Best Practices In Fundraising.
