- Coordinate and oversee the transportation of books from production facilities to retailers, libraries, and other distribution channels
- Develop and maintain relationships with shipping carriers and negotiate competitive rates
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and troubleshoot any delays or issues
- Work closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and production to understand shipping needs and priorities
- Maintain accurate transportation records and reports
- Identify areas for improvement in transportation processes and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and transportation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement transportation strategies
- Communicate with external partners and stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status and address any concerns
- Participate in regular meetings and provide insights and recommendations for improving transportation operations.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Transportation And Distribution Operations.
Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills To Work With Carriers And Internal Teams.
