  1. Oversee the entire editorial process, from manuscript acquisition to final publication, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of all books.
  2. Collaborate with authors, agents, and other team members to develop and maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth communication throughout the publishing process.
  3. Manage a team of editors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  4. Work closely with production, design, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and strategic planning for each book.
  5. Review and assess manuscripts, book proposals, and other materials to determine their commercial potential and fit with the company's publishing goals.
  6. Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met and resources are utilized efficiently.
  7. Ensure all books adhere to company standards and guidelines, including style, tone, and branding.
  8. Identify and troubleshoot potential issues and challenges throughout the editorial process, finding effective solutions to maintain the quality and success of each book.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to inform and improve editorial strategies and processes.
  10. Represent the company at industry events and conferences, networking and promoting the company's brand and mission.
  11. Serve as a mentor and role model for team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  12. Participate in the acquisition and evaluation of new projects and authors, contributing to the growth and success of the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In English, Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Editorial Roles, Preferably In Book Publishing.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Publishing Industry, Including Market Trends And Competitor Analysis.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With A Keen Eye For Detail And Strong Editing Abilities.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Leading A Team, With The Ability To Prioritize And Meet Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Environment.
