  1. Develop and execute strategic publicity plans for Penguin Random House authors and their books.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage for our books.
  3. Create and distribute press materials, including press releases, author bios, and media pitches.
  4. Coordinate author events and book tours, including media interviews, book signings, and speaking engagements.
  5. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure coordinated and effective promotion of our books.
  6. Monitor and analyze media coverage and adjust strategies accordingly.
  7. Manage a team of publicists and oversee their work and professional development.
  8. Serve as the main point of contact for authors, agents, and other external stakeholders.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and identify new opportunities for book promotion.
  10. Handle crisis communication and manage any negative publicity.
  11. Work closely with authors to develop their personal brands and online presence.
  12. Attend conferences, book fairs, and other industry events to network and represent Penguin Random House.
  13. Monitor and manage the publicity budget.
  14. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on publicity campaigns and results.
  15. Represent Penguin Random House in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Marketing, Communications, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Book Publicity Or Related Field.

  • Strong Media Contacts And Relationships With Key Media Outlets.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Executing Publicity Campaigns And Securing Media Coverage.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Pitch And Promote Books To A Wide Range Of Audiences.
