Are you a talented and creative designer with a passion for graphic novels? Do you have a keen eye for visual storytelling and a love for bringing characters to life through illustrations? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Penguin Random House is seeking a Designer to join our dynamic team and work on our diverse and exciting graphic novel titles. As the Designer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with talented authors and bring their stories to life through your design skills. We are looking for a detail-oriented, innovative individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and bring fresh ideas to the table.   1. Collaborate with authors to understand their vision and bring it to life through visually appealing and engaging designs for graphic novels.
  2. Create concept art, character designs, and illustrations that effectively convey the story and characters.
  3. Develop cover designs and layouts that are eye-catching and align with the genre and target audience.
  4. Stay up-to-date with current design trends and techniques to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table.
  5. Work closely with the editorial team to ensure that the design aligns with the manuscript and meets the desired aesthetic.
  6. Meet project deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Use software and design tools effectively to produce high-quality designs and layouts.
  8. Provide feedback and suggest revisions to improve the overall design and visual appeal of the graphic novels.
  9. Collaborate with other team members, such as editors and marketers, to ensure a cohesive and consistent design across all marketing materials.
  10. Continuously seek ways to improve the design process and find new and creative solutions to design challenges.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Graphic Design Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Graphic Design, Preferably In The Publishing Industry

  • Strong Proficiency In Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop)

  • Familiarity With Graphic Novel Formatting And Design Principles

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, Deadline-Driven Environment
