  1. Design visually striking and captivating covers for a variety of books.
  2. Collaborate with authors and editors to understand the essence of their stories and translate it into the cover design.
  3. Create multiple design concepts and present them to the team for feedback and approval.
  4. Use design software and tools to create high-quality and print-ready cover designs.
  5. Stay current with industry trends and incorporate them into cover designs.
  6. Ensure that all cover designs align with the brand standards and guidelines of Penguin Random House.
  7. Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary revisions.
  9. Work closely with the production team to ensure that final cover designs meet technical requirements.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the overall design process.
  11. Maintain organized files and records of all cover designs.
  12. Adhere to copyright and licensing laws while sourcing images and graphics for cover designs.
  13. Provide support and collaborate with other designers on various projects as needed.
  14. Stay updated on the latest design software and tools and suggest their implementation to improve the design process.
  15. Contribute to the success of Penguin Random House by creating visually appealing covers that attract readers and drive book sales.
