Job Description

As a Senior Estimator at PCL, you will play a crucial role in our preconstruction process, utilizing your expertise to accurately estimate costs and develop budget proposals for a variety of commercial construction projects.   1. Develop and maintain accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  2. Collaborate with project teams to determine scope of work and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  3. Utilize industry knowledge and best practices to provide accurate and competitive budget proposals.
  4. Conduct thorough analysis and research to ensure cost estimates are in line with current market conditions.
  5. Review and understand project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to accurately estimate costs.
  6. Communicate and present cost estimates and proposals to clients, project teams, and senior management.
  7. Continuously monitor and track project costs, providing value engineering recommendations to ensure project profitability.
  8. Identify and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to achieve the best value.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and technologies to ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  10. Mentor and train junior estimators, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and project management, to ensure alignment and accuracy of cost estimates.
  12. Participate in project meetings to provide expertise and insights on cost-related matters.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of all cost estimates, proposals, and related documents.
  14. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  15. Contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization by actively seeking new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry partners.

  • At Least 5-10 Years Of Experience In Estimating And Project Management In The Construction Industry.
