- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures and programs in accordance with local, state and federal regulations to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Train and educate employees and contractors on safety protocols, procedures and regulations to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Investigate and report on all accidents, incidents and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure that safety measures are integrated into all construction processes and activities.
- Monitor and track safety metrics and performance to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related inquiries and concerns from employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HSE management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and ensure that all employees and contractors are trained and prepared to respond to emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety-related incidents, training, and inspections.
- Collaborate with HR and management to ensure that all new employees receive proper safety orientation and training.
- Develop and manage safety budgets, and ensure that all safety equipment and resources are properly maintained and utilized.
- Serve as a role model for safety by consistently following all safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and requirements.
- Participate in meetings and committees related to safety, and provide recommendations and updates on safety-related matters.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Supervisory Role In The Field Of Health, Safety, And Environmental (Hse) Management.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Professional Certifications In Hse, Such As Csp (Certified Safety Professional) Or Cih (Certified Industrial Hygienist).
Strong Knowledge Of Relevant Federal, State, And Local Regulations And Standards, Including Osha, Epa, And Nfpa.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Mentor Employees On Hse Policies And Procedures.
