  1. Conduct thorough analysis and review of project documents, including plans, drawings, and specifications, to accurately estimate construction costs.
  2. Utilize advanced mathematical skills and construction knowledge to develop precise cost estimates for materials, equipment, labor, and other project expenses.
  3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates are produced.
  4. Keep abreast of industry trends and market conditions to inform and adjust estimates accordingly.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  6. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all estimates and proposals.
  7. Evaluate and analyze project risks and make recommendations for mitigating potential cost impacts.
  8. Utilize specialized software and tools to assist in the estimation process and maintain organized records of all estimates and related documents.
  9. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements and scope.
  10. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to present and justify estimates and respond to any questions or concerns.
  11. Provide ongoing support and guidance to project teams regarding budgeting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving measures within the estimation process.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations, to ensure ethical and accurate estimating practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Construction Estimating: A Qualified Estimator Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Construction Estimating, With A Proven Track Record Of Accurately Estimating Project Costs.

  • Knowledge Of Construction Methods And Materials: A Strong Understanding Of Construction Methods, Materials, And Techniques Is Necessary For An Estimator To Accurately Assess Project Costs And Timelines.

  • Proficiency In Estimating Software: Estimators Should Have Experience Using Industry-Standard Estimating Software Such As On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, And Sage Estimating.

  • Strong Analytical And Mathematical Skills: Estimating Requires A High Level Of Mathematical Proficiency, As Well As The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Complex Project Data.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Estimators Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Project Managers, Clients, And Subcontractors, And Work Collaboratively With Team Members To Ensure Accurate And Timely Project Estimates.
