Job Description

Manages and oversees the accounting department, responsible for staff career management. Provides support, guidance and consultation to the district management team as well as the manager, finance and administration. Assists with coordinating and consolidating financial reporting for the district. Oversees, monitors, approves and is accountable for daily/weekly/monthly/yearly accounting functions. Reviews and analyzes all accounting/financial adjustments, submissions and reports and ensures they are completed in a timely manner. Provides various ad hoc reports and analysis, then presents information to district management as required. Manages all financial issues and provides summary reports and action plans to the manager, finance and administration. Manages and prepares district review and year-end documents. Manages the preparation, accuracy, and timely submission of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements. Oversees and is accountable for the setup, maintenance, adjustments, and monitoring of all accounting processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • 4 years of progressive accounting experience in the construction or a related industry

  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of full-cycle accounting

  • Ability to teach and mentor more junior staff.
