Job Description

Are you ready to join a dynamic and innovative team at one of the world's leading payment companies? We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our Venmo Teens team at PayPal. In this role, you will help shape the user experience for our teen users on the popular mobile payment app, Venmo. We are looking for a talented and creative individual who is passionate about creating intuitive and engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience designing for mobile platforms.   1. Collaborate with the product team to understand user needs and business goals for the Venmo Teens feature.
  2. Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with user-centered design principles.
  3. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and make data-driven design decisions.
  4. Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  5. Continuously iterate and improve the user experience based on user feedback and data analysis.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across the platform.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mobile and teen-focused design.
  8. Act as a subject matter expert on teen behavior and design trends, advocating for the needs of Venmo's teen users.
  9. Communicate design ideas and rationale to stakeholders and receive and incorporate feedback.
  10. Help establish and maintain design guidelines and standards for the Venmo Teens feature.
  11. Mentor and provide guidance to junior UX designers on the team.
  12. Take ownership of the user experience for Venmo Teens and drive its success by continuously improving and enhancing it.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In User Experience Design: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Background In Ux Design, With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In The Field. They Should Be Well-Versed In Ux Principles, Methodologies, And Best Practices.

  • Expertise In Designing For Teenagers: Since The Role Specifically Requires Designing For Venmo's Teen Users, The Sr. Ux Designer Should Have Experience In Designing For This Particular Demographic. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Their Behaviors, Preferences, And Needs.

  • Proficiency In Ux Design Tools: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Using Various Ux Design Tools Such As Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, And Figma. They Should Be Able To Create Wireframes, Prototypes, And Mockups To Effectively Communicate Their Design Ideas.

  • Strong Collaborative Skills: As A Sr. Ux Designer, This Individual Will Be Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams Such As Product Managers, Developers, And Researchers. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • User-Centric Mindset: The Sr. Ux Designer Should Have A User-Centric Mindset And Be Able To Advocate For The Needs And Wants Of Venmo's Teen Users. They Should Be Able To Conduct User Research, Gather Feedback, And Use Data To Inform Their Design Decisions.
