  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive success through effective partnerships.
  2. Monitor vendor performance and manage any issues or escalations to ensure timely resolution and maintain a positive vendor relationship.
  3. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, including pricing, terms, and service level agreements, to ensure the best value for the company.
  4. Conduct regular vendor evaluations and performance reviews to measure and improve vendor performance.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders from IT, finance, legal, and procurement, to identify and implement cost-saving measures and improve the efficiency of vendor management processes.
  6. Stay current on industry trends and developments in technology vendor management to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  7. Develop and maintain vendor management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  8. Manage the vendor onboarding and offboarding processes, including due diligence and contract termination, to ensure a smooth transition and minimize any potential disruptions to business operations.
  9. Monitor and report on vendor performance metrics to senior management to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  10. Lead and mentor a team of vendor management professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their development and success.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Vendor Management: A Sr. Manager, Tech Vendor Management At Paypal Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Managing And Collaborating With Vendors In The Technology Industry. This Includes Managing Vendor Relationships, Negotiating Contracts, And Ensuring Compliance With Company Policies And Procedures.

  • Strong Understanding Of Technology And Industry Trends: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Technology Landscape And Be Able To Anticipate And Adapt To Industry Trends. This Includes Staying Up-To-Date With Advancements In Relevant Technologies, Understanding Market Dynamics, And Being Able To Make Strategic Decisions To Drive Business Objectives.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Vendor Partnerships: The Sr. Manager, Tech Vendor Management Should Have A Track Record Of Building And Maintaining Successful Partnerships With Vendors. This Includes Managing Vendor Performance, Ensuring Timely Delivery Of Services And Products, And Resolving Conflicts In A Timely And Effective Manner.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Key Liaison Between Paypal And Its Vendor Partners, Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Sr. Manager, Tech Vendor Management Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Stakeholders At All Levels, Both Internally And Externally, And Negotiate Favorable Terms And Conditions For Vendor Contracts.

  • Strategic Mindset And Business Acumen: In Addition To Managing Day-To-Day Vendor Operations, The Sr. Manager, Tech Vendor Management Should Also Have A Strategic Mindset And Business Acumen.
