- Develop and implement strategic vision and goals for the PMO Center of Excellence to support the overall growth and success of PayPal.
- Lead a team of project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of projects.
- Establish and maintain best practices, processes, and standards for project management across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and improve project management processes and workflows.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the customer payment experience.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate project performance to ensure timely delivery, quality, and adherence to budget.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project budgets and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the PMO Center of Excellence.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in project management, and incorporate them into the organization's processes and strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify opportunities for cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison between the PMO and other departments, promoting collaboration and alignment towards common goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the PMO Center of Excellence in meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development within the team.
Extensive Project Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Project Management, With A Strong Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Complex Projects Within Budget And On Schedule. This Experience Should Also Include Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Managing Stakeholder Expectations.
Knowledge Of Pmo Best Practices: The Director Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Project Management Methodologies And Best Practices, Including Agile, Scrum, And Waterfall. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Project Management Tools And Techniques, Such As Project Planning, Risk Management, And Change Management.
Strong Leadership Skills: As The Head Of The Pmo Center Of Excellence, The Director Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Inspire And Motivate Team Members, Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Resolve Conflicts In A Constructive Manner. They Should Also Have Experience Managing And Developing A Team Of Project Managers.
Business Acumen: To Be Successful In This Role, The Director Should Have A Strong Business Acumen, With The Ability To Understand And Align Project Goals With The Overall Business Strategy. They Should Also Have Experience In Budget Management And Resource Allocation, As Well As The Ability To Analyze Data And Make Data-Driven Decisions.
