- Develop and implement a comprehensive ESG reporting strategy for PayPal, in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and verification of data related to environmental, social, and governance performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key ESG issues and develop action plans to address them.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of ESG metrics to internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging ESG trends and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external reporting partners and consultants, ensuring high-quality and consistent reporting.
- Work closely with the sustainability team to integrate ESG considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
- Lead the development and execution of ESG-related initiatives and projects, driving measurable impact and progress towards sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to effectively communicate PayPal's ESG efforts to internal and external audiences.
- Act as a subject matter expert on ESG reporting and provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders as needed.
Extensive Knowledge Of Esg Reporting Standards And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Various Esg Reporting Frameworks And Guidelines, Such As Gri, Sasb, And Tcfd. They Should Also Be Familiar With Relevant Regulations And Legislation Related To Esg Reporting, Such As The Eu Non-Financial Reporting Directive.
Experience In Sustainability And/Or Corporate Responsibility: A Strong Background In Sustainability Or Corporate Responsibility Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Esg Strategies, Managing Sustainability Initiatives, And Engaging With Stakeholders On Esg Issues.
Analytical And Data-Driven Mindset: As The Director Of Esg Reporting And Operations, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Collecting, Analyzing, And Reporting On Esg Data. Therefore, They Should Have Strong Analytical Skills And Be Comfortable Working With Large Datasets. Experience With Data Visualization And Reporting Tools, Such As Tableau Or Power Bi, Is Also A Plus.
Strong Project Management Skills: This Role Will Involve Leading And Coordinating Various Esg-Related Projects, Such As Sustainability Reporting, Esg Data Collection, And Stakeholder Engagement. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Manage Timelines, And Communicate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Abilities: The Director Of Esg Reporting And Operations Will Be Responsible For Communicating Esg Initiatives And Performance Both Internally And Externally. As Such, They Should Have Exceptional Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Influence And Engage Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization. Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Managerial Role Is Also Preferred.
