Job Description

PayPal is seeking an enthusiastic Integration Engineer to help us strengthen our world-class business. In this role you will embed with platform infrastructure teams to guide the migrate of their workloads into PayPal’s secure cloud deployments. Promote a culture of automation, transparency, and accountability. Identify requirements for cloud-based, immutable infrastructure based on business requirements. Advocate for the needs of the customer. Develop a library of integration patterns. Assist with troubleshooting and triage efforts during incidents. Assist with development of root cause analysis and participate in postmortem exercises.  Create, review, and improve documentation for tools and processes used in support of the infrastructure.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cloud technology experience

  • Strong understanding of AWS, GCP, and/or Azure and cloud migration patterns

  • Ability to manage technical requirement across multiple disciplines and groups

  • Strong understanding of the OSI layering model, with a focus on Layer 7 protocols (HTTP/S, DNS, NFS, SMTP, SSH).

  • Experience with cloud network / VPC provisioning
