- Design and develop software solutions that support critical business processes using SAP ABAP.
- Maintain and enhance existing software applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize impact on business operations.
- Stay updated on the latest SAP ABAP technologies and trends to continuously improve and innovate our software solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for software applications.
- Work closely with project managers and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Mentor and train junior software engineers on SAP ABAP best practices and processes.
- Follow agile development methodologies and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate SAP solutions with other systems.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and standards while developing software solutions.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our SAP systems.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines while performing job duties.
Extensive Experience With Sap Abap: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working With Sap Abap, Including Developing And Implementing Complex Abap Programs, Customizations, And Enhancements.
Strong Knowledge Of Sap Modules: The Sr It Software Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Sap Modules Such As Fi/Co, Sd, Mm, And Hr. They Should Be Able To Effectively Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues Related To These Modules.
Project Management Skills: Palo Alto Networks Is A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment, And The Sr It Software Engineer Will Be Responsible For Managing Multiple Projects Simultaneously. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Meet Deadlines, And Communicate Project Status Effectively.
Communication And Collaboration: As A Member Of The It Team, The Sr It Software Engineer Will Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Business Users, Developers, And System Administrators. Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential In This Role, As Well As The Ability To Translate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Or A Related Field Is Required For This Role. A Master's Degree And Relevant Certifications In Sap Abap Would Be Considered A Plus. The Candidate Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Software Development Methodologies And Best Practices.
