
Sr Director, Technical Support

- Provide strategic direction for the Technical Support department, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of the company.
- Lead and manage a team of technical support professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality and timely technical support services to customers, meeting or exceeding service level agreements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product development and sales, to improve product quality and customer experience.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Technical Support department.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into the Technical Support strategy.
- Monitor and analyze customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, working closely with the support team to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the Technical Support department.
- Communicate regularly with senior management, providing updates on the performance and progress of the Technical Support department.
- Act as an ambassador for Palo Alto Networks, representing the company’s values and mission to customers and industry partners.
- Continuously assess and improve the skills and knowledge of the Technical Support team through training, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as the competitive landscape.
- Proactively identify and address potential risks or challenges in the Technical Support operations, and develop contingency plans as needed.
Extensive Technical Knowledge: A Sr Director, Technical Support At Palo Alto Networks Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Company's Products And Services, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Networking And Security Technologies. This Includes Experience With Firewalls, Intrusion Detection And Prevention Systems, And Other Related Technologies.
Leadership Skills: As A Senior Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Technical Support Professionals. They Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Developing High-Performing Teams, As Well As Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Experience In Technical Support Management: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Technical Support, With At Least 5 Years In A Management Or Leadership Position. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Implementing And Managing Technical Support Processes And Procedures, And Driving Continuous Improvement Within The Team.
Customer Focus: The Sr Director, Technical Support Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That Customer Issues Are Resolved In A Timely And Effective Manner. They Should Have A Strong Customer Service Mindset And Be Able To Empathize With Customers While Also Holding Their Team Accountable For Delivering High-Quality Support.
Strategic Thinking: As Part Of The Senior Leadership Team, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Developing And Executing The Technical Support Strategy For Palo Alto Networks. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Company's Overall Goals And Be Able To Align The Technical Support Strategy With Those Objectives. This Includes Identifying Areas For Improvement, Implementing New Processes And Technologies, And Staying Abreast Of Industry Trends And Best Practices.
