
Director of Global Security Operations Center

- Lead and manage a global team of security professionals to ensure the effective functioning of the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization and its assets.
- Continuously assess and improve the organization's security posture through proactive risk management and mitigation efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment and consistency in security operations.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing remediation plans as necessary.
- Stay current on industry best practices and emerging security threats, and proactively recommend and implement appropriate security measures.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies, ensuring maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on the state of security operations and any emerging risks or concerns.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge in security operations.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
- Work closely with external partners and vendors to ensure the effectiveness and timeliness of security services and solutions.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of security processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Manage the budget and resources for the security operations team, ensuring optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to security operations and ensure the organization's adherence.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and represent the organization in security-related meetings, conferences, and events.
Extensive Experience In Security Operations: The Director Of Global Security Operations Center At Palo Alto Networks Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Security Operations, Preferably In A Leadership Role. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security Threats And The Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Security Strategies.
Knowledge Of Global Security Landscape: This Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of The Global Security Landscape, Including Current And Emerging Threats, Regulations, And Compliance Requirements. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working In A Global Security Environment And Be Able To Adapt Quickly To Changing Security Trends.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Director Of Global Security Operations Center Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Security Professionals. They Should Have Proven Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Diverse Team, Delegate Tasks, And Make Difficult Decisions When Necessary.
Technical Expertise: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background, With Experience In Security Technologies Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Security Information And Event Management (Siem) Tools. They Should Also Be Familiar With Various Security Frameworks And Standards, Such As Iso 27001 And Nist.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Director Of Global Security Operations Center Will Need To Work Closely With Other Departments, Including It, Legal, And Compliance Teams. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Communicate Security Risks And Recommendations To Non-Technical Stakeholders And Work Collaboratively To Implement Security Measures.
