Job Description

We’re looking for a driven and motivated Associate Merchandise Planner to join the team at PacSun! As an Associate Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the buying team in planning, forecasting, tracking, and analyzing sales performance for assigned product categories. You will also act as the point of contact for external vendors and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as the product development, marketing, and allocation & replenishment teams.The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and at least two years of experience in planning/merchandising. You should be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of the apparel and retail industry and be able to think strategically to develop successful product strategies. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop successful product strategies to meet sales forecasts
  2. Analyze sales performance and identify trends in product categories
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors
  4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, and allocation & replenishment
  5. Create and manage product merchandising plans
  6. Prepare regular sales reports and monthly projections
  7. Monitor inventory levels and make suggestions for adjustments
  8. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the apparel and retail industry
  9. Participate in product-related meetings and provide input to the buying team
  10. Ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets
