Associate Teacher

The Associate Teacher works directly with children as a member of the teaching team under the supervision of the Master Teacher. The Associate Teacher participates in designing and implementing curriculum; demonstrates a commitment to, and understanding of, anti-bias education; and provides support to team members and practicum students. Cooperatively plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in conjunction with the Master Teacher and Teacher. Assist in the development and execution of a daily routine to include small and large group experiences and individual time with children. Observe, record, and assess children’s interactions and experiences. Demonstrate continuing professional growth and development. Teach care and respect for the environment and the personal property of others through modeling and practice.
