Perform general construction tasks including digging, trenching, and backfilling to install and repair natural gas pipelines.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safe delivery of natural gas to customers.
Operate and maintain various equipment and tools necessary for construction and maintenance work.
Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on gas pipelines to identify and address any issues or potential hazards.
Keep accurate records and documentation of work completed, materials used, and any incidents or accidents.
Respond to emergency situations and troubleshoot any gas-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate effectively with customers and the public regarding gas service and construction activities.
Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase safety and efficiency.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Attend training and development programs to keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Gas Utility Construction: A Utility Worker In General Construction Gas At Pacific Gas And Electric Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Gas Utility Construction Processes And Procedures.
Experience With Heavy Equipment Operation: The Job Requires Operating Heavy Equipment Such As Excavators And Backhoes, So A Utility Worker Should Have Experience And Training In Using These Machines Safely And Efficiently.
Safety Training And Certification: Safety Is A Top Priority At Pacific Gas And Electric, So A Utility Worker Should Have Completed Safety Training And Hold Relevant Certifications, Such As Osha 10 Or Osha 30.
