Substation Operator

Pacific Gas and Electric is seeking an experienced Substation Operator to join our team. This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent technical skills and a desire to be part of a growing and dynamic organization. The successful candidate must have a strong knowledge of electrical substation operations, components, and protection systems along with experience in equipment maintenance and testing. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and operate the electrical substation, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely.
2. Perform regular maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of substation equipment.
3. Develop and implement plans for the protection, maintenance, and upgrade of substation components.
4. Develop electrical schematics and documents to support substation operations.
5. Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper operation of the substation.
6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all substation operations.
8. Identify and address any potential safety or reliability issues.
9. Work with other departments to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
10. Assist in the development of new substation projects.
