Substation Operator

The successful candidate must possess a minimum of one year of industrial power system experience; knowledge of power system operations; experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment; and knowledge of substation operations. The successful candidate must also be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Responsibilities:

1. Operate and maintain the substation assets to ensure maximum performance.
2. Ensure the safety and reliability of the substation according to PG&E mission.
3. Maintain industrial power system experience and knowledge of power system operations.
4. Operate and maintain electrical equipment and knowledge of substation operations.
5. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
6. Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Monitor and inspect the substation regularly to ensure safe and efficient operations.
8. Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise in the substation.
9. Ensure all safety regulations are followed and adhere to all PG&E safety protocols.
10. Develop and maintain working relationships with co-workers and external partners.
