- Conduct welding projects and tasks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all established company and industry safety protocols and standards.
- Utilize advanced welding techniques and technology to ensure high quality and reliable results.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of welding projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other team members and departments.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of welding equipment and make recommendations for improvements or replacements as needed.
- Train and mentor junior welders, providing guidance and support to ensure their skills and techniques meet company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure all welds meet industry standards and specifications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of welding materials and equipment.
- Stay current with industry advancements and developments in welding technology and techniques, and make recommendations for implementation as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any potential issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all welding activities, including project documentation, equipment maintenance logs, and safety reports.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization to customers, vendors, and the general public.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Welding For Industrial Or Utility Applications.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Extensive Knowledge Of Welding Processes, Techniques, And Materials, Including Smaw, Gtaw, And Fcaw.
Strong Understanding Of Welding Codes And Standards, Such As Asme, Aws, And Api.
Proven Experience In Project Management, Including Budgeting, Scheduling, And Resource Allocation.
