
Safety Coordinator
Pacific Gas and Electric is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols as well as providing safety training and support to all employees. The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in safety management, along with 3+ years of experience in safety in a manufacturing or industrial environment. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. - Develop and implement safety policies and protocols to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Analyze existing safety procedures and recommend changes or improvements as needed.
- Monitor employee safety practices to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct periodic safety inspections and audits to identify any potential safety hazards.
- Lead safety training for all employees to ensure they understand and follow safety protocols.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain safety records, such as incident reports and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety protocols are integrated into workplace operations.
- Track progress of safety initiatives and provide regular updates to management.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for safety and ensure implementation of these standards.
