Job Description

The Safety Coordinator at Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) will be a crucial role in the organization, ensuring the safety of all employees and customers. This position requires an individual with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as a commitment to safety and compliance. The successful candidate will be a good listener, organized, and able to work independently as well as collaborate with others. As a Safety Coordinator, you will take the lead in developing and maintaining safety policies and procedures, as well as training and supporting all employees in safety. If you are passionate about safety and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to hear from you!Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field• At least 5 years of experience in a safety role• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Demonstrated dedication to safety

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures that meet all regulatory and compliance standards. • Train and support personnel on safety policies and procedures. • Monitor and evaluate safety performance and compliance. • Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective action. • Create and implement safety process improvement plans. • Foster a safety culture through regular employee safety training and safety campaigns. • Maintain records of safety violations and corrective actions taken. • Create and maintain safety reports for upper management. • Participate in safety tours and inspections. • Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective action. • Coordinate emergency plans and procedures.
