
Safety Coordinator
At Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), we are committed to providing our customers with safe, reliable, and clean energy. As our Safety Coordinator, you will join our team of passionate professionals to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of safety and quality. You will provide key safety and compliance support to ensure that our operations meet and exceed applicable regulations and industry standards.We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience; excellent communication and organizational skills; a working knowledge of safety regulations and standards; and the ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures. You must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.If you are passionate about safety and have a proven track record of success, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and standards to ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations.
- Create and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure that operations are conducted safely.
- Develop and coordinate safety training programs for employees.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits on site.
- Investigate and address any safety issues or potential hazards.
- Prepare and submit reports on safety incidents and any corrective and preventive actions taken.
- Monitor employee safety performance and identify areas of improvement.
- Assist in developing safety programs and initiatives to reduce incidents and enhance safety culture.
- Maintain records of safety data, inspections, and audits.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure their safety concerns are addressed.
