
Safety Coordinator
At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are looking for a dedicated and highly-qualified Safety Coordinator to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an experienced safety professional with a commitment to excellence and a track record of success in developing and implementing safety programs.The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for administering and managing safety programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards. The Safety Coordinator will also develop and implement safety policies, procedures and training programs, and investigate and document safety incidents.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field, as well as 5+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing, construction, or utility environment. They will also have strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment. We are looking for a safety professional who is eager to make a positive contribution to our organization and our safety culture. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Administer and manage safety programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
- Investigate and document safety incidents.
- Monitor safety performance and provide feedback and recommendations to management.
- Create reports and analyze data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes in safety.
- Provide safety-related training and education to employees.
- Monitor and update safety policies and procedures as needed.
- Participate in safety committees and meetings.
