In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of our SAP system, specifically in the Powerplan module. Design and maintain the Powerplan module of our SAP system to meet the specific needs of Pacific Gas and Electric.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into technical solutions within the Powerplan module.
Implement and configure the Powerplan module according to industry best practices and in alignment with business goals.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the Powerplan module, ensuring system stability and efficient operation.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, configuration settings, and technical specifications.
Keep up-to-date with new Powerplan features and functionality, and make recommendations for their implementation in our system.
Lead and mentor junior IT SAP Functional Analysts, providing guidance and expertise in the Powerplan module.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve any issues and implement enhancements or upgrades to the Powerplan module.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the Powerplan module to increase efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards related to the Powerplan module.
Communicate regularly with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide updates on system enhancements and changes.
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in Powerplan and SAP technology, and make recommendations for their adoption.
Conduct training and provide support to end-users on the use of the Powerplan module.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within the Powerplan module, while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
Act as a subject matter expert on the Powerplan module, providing guidance and expertise to other teams and departments as needed.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience With Sap Powerplan: This Includes A Deep Understanding Of The Software's Functionality, Configuration, And Integration With Other Sap Modules. The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Hands-On Experience Working With Powerplan In A Functional Role.
Strong Knowledge Of The Utility Industry: A Principal It Sap Functional Analyst At Pacific Gas And Electric Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of The Utility Industry And Its Unique Business Processes. This Includes Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements, Rate Structures, And Industry Best Practices.
Proven Leadership Skills: The Role Of A Principal It Sap Functional Analyst Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Manage A Team Of Functional Analysts And Drive Projects To Successful Completion. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Leading Complex Sap Projects In A Large Organization.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Ability To Analyze Complex Business Processes And Identify Opportunities For Improvement Is Crucial For This Role. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues Related To Sap Powerplan And Its Integration With Other Systems.
Effective Communication And Stakeholder Management: As A Key Member Of The It Team, The Principal It Sap Functional Analyst Will Need To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Business Users, It Teams, And External Vendors.
