- Perform maintenance and repairs on power lines, equipment, and related structures to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve potential problems before they escalate.
- Install, remove, and relocate power lines and equipment according to company standards and safety regulations.
- Work safely at heights and in various weather conditions to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Operate various equipment and tools, such as bucket trucks, diggers, and hand tools, to perform job duties.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Stay current on industry knowledge, safety practices, and company policies and procedures through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Participate in on-call and emergency response rotation as needed to quickly and effectively address power outages and other critical situations.
- Represent the company in a positive manner and uphold our values of safety, reliability, and customer service at all times.
Completion Of An Accredited Journey Lineworker Apprenticeship Program Or Equivalent Experience.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Journey Lineworker, With Proficiency In All Aspects Of Line Work Including Pole Climbing, Rigging, And Troubleshooting.
Must Possess A Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) With Air Brake And Tanker Endorsements.
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Safety Procedures And Practices, Including Osha Regulations And Company Policies.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays, And Respond To Emergency Call-Outs In A Timely Manner.
