Perform general construction tasks related to hydroelectric facilities, including maintenance and construction projects.
Ensure the safe and reliable delivery of power to customers by following all safety protocols and procedures.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, to complete assigned tasks.
Utilize hand and power tools, as well as heavy equipment, to complete construction projects.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Follow established procedures and techniques to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Continuously monitor and report any potential safety hazards or issues to supervisors.
Attend training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge in the hydroelectric industry.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude while representing the company in a professional manner.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Electrical Utility Systems: A Hydro Utility Worker At Pacific Gas And Electric Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Electrical Utility Systems, Including Transmission Lines, Transformers, And Distribution Systems.
Experience In General Construction: This Position Requires Experience In General Construction Tasks Such As Excavation, Trenching, And Installation Of Underground Utilities. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Tools And Equipment Commonly Used In Construction Work.
Safety Training And Certifications: Pacific Gas And Electric Places A High Priority On Safety, And Candidates For This Role Should Have Relevant Safety Training And Certifications, Such As Osha 10 Or 30-Hour Certification, Cpr And First Aid, And Confined Space Entry.
Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints: As A Hydro Utility Worker, The Ability To Read And Interpret Utility System Blueprints Is Crucial. Candidates Should Be Able To Identify Utility Components And Understand How They Fit Into The Overall System.
