At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist to join our team. The GIS Specialist will play a key role in developing and managing GIS data, tools, and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GIS principles and the ability to work well in a team environment.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. They must also have at least three years of experience in GIS analysis, data management, and application development and a working knowledge of GIS software.We are looking for a professional with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box. Responsibilities:

Develop and manage GIS data, tools, and applications
Analyze GIS data and create maps
Design, build, and maintain GIS databases
Create GIS applications, scripts, and tools to automate processes
Monitor and analyze GIS data for accuracy and completeness
Provide technical support to GIS users
Create and maintain GIS metadata
Develop and implement GIS standards and procedures
Provide GIS end-user training
Integrate GIS data with other systems and databases
Maintain GIS software and hardware
Interface with other departments to ensure successful GIS integration
Troubleshoot GIS-related problems
