GIS Specialist

As such, we are looking for an experienced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS applications to support PG&E’s energy delivery operations. To be successful in this role, you must be experienced in GIS data analysis, mapping, and management, as well as possess strong communication and customer service skills. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain GIS applications to support PG&E’s energy delivery operations.
2. Analyze GIS data to identify trends and patterns to inform decision making.
3. Create detailed maps to help visualize energy delivery operations
4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to staff and customers.
5. Support GIS mapping projects and initiatives.
6. Research and implement new GIS technologies, processes, and systems.
7. Maintain GIS databases and ensure accuracy of GIS data.
8. Provide customer service and troubleshoot GIS-related issues.
9. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure successful GIS projects.
10. Monitor GIS industry trends and best practices.
