Job Description

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor at Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) is an essential role in keeping the fleet in top working order. We are looking for a passionate and organized individual who is committed to delivering excellence in fleet maintenance and safety. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in fleet maintenance and operations, be an excellent communicator and have a strong customer service ethos. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance management, good organizational skills and the ability to work independently. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to take on a challenging role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of fleet maintenance and safety at PG&E.
Create, implement, and monitor fleet maintenance and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.
Manage fleet maintenance staff and ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and meets or exceeds quality standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and quality of parts and services.
Monitor fleet maintenance costs and ensure they are kept within budget.
Monitor fleet utilization and suggest strategies to optimize fleet operations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to fleet maintenance and safety.
Provide technical and operational support to fleet maintenance staff.
Investigate and respond to customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
