
Environmental Scientist
At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are looking for an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research and providing guidance on environmental regulations, policies, and initiatives. Responsibilities for this role include:
- Conducting research and analysis to identify and inform environmental regulations, policies, and initiatives
- Keeping up to date on emerging environmental regulations, policies, and initiatives
- Consulting with stakeholders to ensure environmental regulations and policies are understood and followed
- Developing and implementing plans for managing environmental risks associated with Pacific Gas and Electric operations
- Providing guidance to other departments, teams, and personnel on environmental regulations, policies, and initiatives
- Assisting in the preparation of environmental impact assessments
- Assisting with the development of new environmental regulations, policies, and initiatives
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with external organizations and agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and policies
- Representing Pacific Gas and Electric at relevant conferences and events
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science Or Related Field
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills
Familiarity With Environmental Regulations And Best Practices
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite And Gis Technologies
Knowledge Of Environmental Data Collection Techniques And Software
Practical Field Experience In Environmental Science
