
Environmental Scientist
At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist to help us protect, restore, and enhance our environment. This role is critical for our success in providing clean and reliable energy to our customers. The Environmental Scientist will be responsible for leading projects to ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations as well as developing and implementing plans to improve our environmental performance.To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, a deep understanding of environmental regulations, and experience with field sampling and environmental data analysis. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. An advanced degree and experience with GIS and/or remote sensing are a plus.If you are passionate about environmental protection and looking for a challenge, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Implement plans to improve environmental performance in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Collect and analyze environmental data using field sampling and data analysis methods.
- Develop reports and other documents to effectively communicate project results and progress.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers and other stakeholders, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to ensure successful completion within established timelines.
- Utilize GIS and/or remote sensing to map data and analyze environmental impacts.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to support environmental initiatives.
- Keep up to date on environmental regulations and legislation.
- Monitor progress and results of environmental projects.
- Participate in external meetings and events to represent Pacific Gas and Electric.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science Or Related Field
