
Environmental Scientist
The Pacific Gas and Electric team is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Environmental Scientist to join our dynamic team. This position requires an individual with a strong background in environmental science who is passionate about protecting our environment. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical skills, the ability to work independently and within a team, and an understanding of regulatory requirements. In this role, the Environmental Scientist will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure compliance with environmental policies and regulations. Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, biology, or related field • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and policies • Ability to interpret environmental data and make sound technical decisions • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities: • Analyze environmental data and make technical decisions based on research • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and policies • Monitor activities to ensure environmental standards are met • Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and external partners • Prepare and present reports related to environmental compliance • Assist with the development of environmental management plans • Maintain updated knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and policies • Collaborate with team members to identify and address environmental issues • Develop and maintain good relationships with external stakeholders • Adhere to ethical standards in all activities related to the environment
