Job Description

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is looking for a talented Environmental Scientist to join our team. As a key member of the Environmental Department, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of environmental projects, initiatives, and programs designed to protect the environment and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in science or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in a related role. You should have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and be able to interpret and apply them appropriately. You must be highly organized, possess excellent communication and writing skills, and be able to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.As an Environmental Scientist at PG&E, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference within the company and the communities we serve. Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of environmental initiatives, projects, and programs to protect the environment and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Interpret and apply environmental regulations.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
Prepare reports and other documentation related to environmental projects and initiatives.
Monitor and update environmental programs to ensure compliance with current regulations.
Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues and other departments.
Develop and maintain environmental databases and tracking systems.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and initiatives.
Work with other departments to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Participate in safety training and other related activities.
