We are looking for an experienced, committed and organized Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join the team at Pacific Gas and Electric. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing safety programs, managing hazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of environmental safety regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Monitor and manage hazardous materials, including storage, handling, and disposal.
Educate and train employees in safety procedures and emergency protocols.
Investigate incidents and accidents and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Develop and maintain safety records and reports.
Monitor and evaluate existing safety policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with current regulations.
Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Work with vendors and contractors to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Participate in safety committees and meetings.
