
Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator
At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are looking for a passionate, experienced, and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that our operations meet all applicable environmental, health, and safety standards. If you are an organized professional with excellent communication skills and a commitment to protecting the environment, we'd love to hear from you.The successful candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate with at least five years of experience in a related field and working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor operations to ensure that all safety and health standards are met.
- Educate and advise employees on safety and health issues.
- Investigate and report any environmental, health, or safety incidents.
- Document and track safety and health inspections and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety and health inspections and audits.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve environmental, health, and safety issues.
- Develop and deliver safety and health training programs.
- Participate in hazardous waste management activities.
- Develop and implement emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Monitor and analyze safety and health trends.
- Keep up to date with the latest health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Monitor environmental programs and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
