- Provide expert legal counsel and guidance to the organization on a wide range of legal matters related to energy, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of laws, regulations, and policies related to the energy industry and provide recommendations to the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Advise and support the company on legal issues related to energy contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices in order to provide proactive legal guidance to the company.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations with external parties, such as government agencies and other companies.
- Provide training and guidance to company employees on legal matters, including compliance with regulations and policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external legal partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure the company's compliance with ethical and legal standards and maintain the highest level of integrity in all legal matters.
- Manage a team of legal professionals and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to support their professional development.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the company's mission of delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy to customers.
- Continuously improve and streamline legal processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Counseling, Preferably In A Corporate Or Utility Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Ethical Standards Related To Counseling And Employee Assistance Programs.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Establish Rapport And Trust With Clients.
Demonstrated Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Discretion And Maintain Professional Boundaries.
