
Communications Coordinator
We at Pacific Gas and Electric are looking for a highly organized and creative Communications Coordinator to join our team. This position requires an individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for public relations and media relations. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload. With a strong focus on fostering relationships and developing a broad understanding of the company, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for strengthening our public presence and promoting our brand.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field. In addition, experience in the energy industry is preferred. To be successful in this role, the Communications Coordinator must be highly organized and dynamic, with the ability to think strategically and proactively. We are looking for someone who is a team player, with strong technical writing and public speaking skills, and the ability to deal with tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute public relations strategies to promote the company’s brand and presence.
- Manage media relations activities and coordinate press events.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to increase public awareness.
- Write press releases, media statements, and other communications materials.
- Analyze media coverage and track effectiveness of public relations campaigns.
- Provide guidance to staff on communications best practices.
- Manage and coordinate the company’s corporate social media accounts.
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for proactive public engagement.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts.
