- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve any supply chain issues or delays.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations.
- Generate and maintain reports and documentation related to supply chain activities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in supply chain management practices.
- Train and mentor junior supply chain team members to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards in all supply chain activities.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure a smooth and seamless supply chain process.
- Continuously evaluate and assess supply chain processes and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of supply chain activities with overall company goals and objectives.
Strong Analytical Skills: A Supply Chain Analyst-Buyer Must Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Gather, Interpret And Analyze Data To Make Informed Purchasing Decisions. They Should Also Have The Ability To Identify Potential Cost-Saving Opportunities And Optimize The Supply Chain Process.
Supply Chain Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Supply Chain Management Principles And Practices. They Should Have Experience In Negotiating Contracts, Managing Supplier Relationships, And Ensuring On-Time Delivery Of Goods.
Proficiency In Supply Chain Software: Proficiency In Supply Chain Software Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Well-Versed In Using Supply Chain Management Software Such As Oracle Supply Chain Management, Sap, Or Similar Systems To Manage Inventory, Track Shipments, And Analyze Data.
Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Supply Chain Analyst-Buyer, The Candidate Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Internal Teams, External Suppliers, And Stakeholders. They Should Also Have Strong Negotiation Skills To Secure The Best Deals And Maintain Positive Relationships With Suppliers.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management Or Related Field: A Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role.
