- Develop and implement capacity planning strategies for our data centers to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze data center capacity, utilization, and trends to identify areas for improvement and proactively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop plans for data center expansion and growth.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of data center capacity to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation of data center capacity, including hardware and software inventory, power and cooling capacities, and network connectivity.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
- Develop and deliver reports and presentations to senior management on data center capacity and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data center capacity planning and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their understanding of capacity planning and data center operations.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure data center readiness in case of emergencies.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Data Center Capacity Planning And Management.
Strong Understanding Of Current And Emerging Data Center Technologies, Including Virtualization, Cloud Computing, And Software-Defined Networking.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Executing Data Center Capacity Plans, Including Forecasting And Resource Allocation.
