As a Principal DFT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our semiconductor designs through the implementation of Design for Testability (DFT) techniques.   1. Lead the design and implementation of DFT techniques for NXP Semiconductors' embedded applications, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and develop DFT solutions that meet the needs of the project.
  3. Create and maintain DFT architecture and specifications for each design project, considering test coverage, power, area, and timing constraints.
  4. Develop and implement strategies for test pattern generation, simulation, and verification to ensure accurate and efficient testing of semiconductor designs.
  5. Utilize industry standard DFT tools and methodologies to analyze and optimize designs for testability.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot DFT issues during the design and testing phases, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure project timelines are met.
  7. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in DFT techniques, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in NXP's DFT processes.
  8. Mentor and guide junior DFT engineers, providing technical expertise and support to ensure the success of the team.
  9. Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to incorporate DFT requirements into the design and testing of components.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on DFT progress, issues, and solutions.
  11. Contribute to the development and improvement of company-wide DFT standards and best practices.
  12. Adhere to strict quality and safety standards, following all relevant protocols and procedures to ensure the reliability and security of NXP's products.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Design For Test (Dft) Methodologies And Tools, Including Atpg, Bist, And Boundary Scan.

  • Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Protocols Such As Ieee 1149.1, Ieee 1500, And Ieee 1687.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Dft Implementation And Tapeout Of Complex Soc Designs.

  • Knowledge Of Eda Tools And Scripting Languages For Dft Automation And Verification.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Lead A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
