Functional Safety Engineer

NXP Semiconductors is looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our semiconductor products by developing safety concepts and plans and by validating safety-related components.We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of success in developing safety concepts and validating safety components. You should also have experience in working with safety standards (including ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and EN 50128). Responsibilities:

1. Develop safety concepts and plans to ensure the safety of NXP Semiconductor products.
2. Validate safety-related components to ensure they meet safety standards.

4. Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure safety is integrated into the product design.
5. Identify and resolve safety issues and risks.
6. Provide technical guidance and expertise on safety standards.
7. Research and evaluate latest safety technologies and trends.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
9. Create and maintain documentation related to safety standards and procedures.
10. Perform safety-related tests and inspections.
